Phil Greer is a founding partner of Opus Capital. Phil brings 35 years of venture capital investing experience to Opus Capital, having been a founding partner of Weiss, Peck & Greer in 1971, and having provided continuity of leadership of the firm since that time.
Phil was an early investor and has been a director of Federal Express Corporation since 1974 where he currently serves as Chairman of the company's Compensation Committee. In addition, Phil is a member of the Board of Administrators of Tulane University and has been elected Chairman of the Board effective June 2006. Phil also is also a member of the Board of Santa Catalina School, Monterey, California and Deerfield Academy, Deerfield, Massachusetts. Prior to founding Weiss, Peck & Greer in 1970, Phil was associated with White, Weld & Co. and A.G. Becker & Co.
Phil holds an AB degree from Princeton University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
