DAN PHELPS | General Partner
Dan Phelps is a General Partner of Opus Capital where he leads investments in established service companies.
Previously, Dan was a Partner and founding member of Duchossois Technology Partners (DTEC), an early stage venture capital firm, where he focused primarily on networking software and system investments. While at DTEC, Dan led investments in Infoblox, Intellon (Nasdaq: ITLN), Mobilitec (acquired by Lucent), NetNearU, NextHop and Personeta.
Before joining DTEC, Dan spent five years at the Pritzker Financial Office in Chicago, where his responsibilities focused on principal investments in more mature operating companies. Previously, he was in the financial services group at Ernst & Young.
Dan holds a BSBA from The Ohio State University and an MBA from the University of Chicago. He is a Certified Public Accountant.
